Biography

Connor Madsen is a lifelong passionate violinist, chamber musician, and orchestra member teaching and performing in the Chicago area. Raised in Salt Lake City, he started violin lessons at the age of 4 with Utah Symphony member Teresa Hicks. He was a founding member of TLC Trio, a local Utah band that was foundational for his artistic development. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Utah where his primary teachers were Ralph Matson and Dr. Kasia Sokol-Borup. In 2023, he graduated from Roosevelt University with a Master of Music studying with Mrs. Almita Vamos and Dr. Liba Schacht. He enjoys teaching and performing in the Chicago-land area and across the Midwest. He has performed across the U.S. and Europe in tours and concerts. In addition to his work with the violin, Connor is an avid composer and audio producer, working with local artists by arranging string parts, making records in the studio, and running audio at local events. In his spare time, Connor attends concerts, spends time with his loved ones, and appreciates quiet time at home.
